Service to the community is an important part of being in
St John. It is about giving your time freely to help people in the community need.
Service in St John can involve things like:
- attending first aid duties at public events or emergencies (such as sporting events, concerts or other major events)
- assisting someone with a disability through one of St John's Community Care programs (only available in some States/Territories)
- raising money for the organisation
- volunteering your time as part of a St John youth council or advisory network.
In recognition of service to the community, St John provides a number of special awards which are available to members aged 12+. Service goes to the heart of being a St John member!
